Welcome to the first blog post of 2022! We hope that as you read this, life is treating you well! Even though we’re nearly already through January I thought it would be good to let you know what exciting episodes we’ve got for you in the coming months.
After the big announcement in Episode 27 (We’re Back) the team are busily trying to get all our diaries in sync to get a few more episodes recorded before the new arrival at the end of February / start of March.
Already in the vault we have some great episodes which will be released soon including ‘In Conversation’ with the fabulous Richard Honner (Ex Music Director of Scottish Ballet), Jonathan Still and James Barton who is an Assistant Rehearsal Director at Scottish Ballet. Other episodes have rather quirky titles including “How Many Show Tunes is a Show Tune Too Many” along with Chris, David and Matt discussing the use of David’s favourite subject “Rubato”. We will be having 1 or 2 more get togethers for discussions before Akiko goes on maternity leave and will be dropping new episodes from February 2022 onwards. Subjects we’re discussing so far will include the counting of upbeats and downbeats and how this is different for dancers and musicians and we will discuss what a teacher can do to make a pianists life easier, and visa versa. So, stay tuned on to our social channels and if you haven’t already, subscribe to our mailing list so you get all the latest news and updates straight to your inbox.
